Do you do other events or occasions?
Yes, as well as weddings, we would love to get your dog involved in all the other celebrations and special life events, whether it’s proposals, photoshoots, rehearsals, vow renewals or birthdays. We will work with you to provide a tailored service for you.
Of course! If you would like a particular collar, lead etc, we would always ask you to try it on your dog prior to the wedding. If you are wanting flowers attached to the collar, we suggest using fake flowers as real flowers may smell too strong or be harmful for your dog.
How many dogs can we bring to the wedding?
As many as you have but we will need extra staff, so there would be an extra charge. For safety, we have a maximum of 2 dogs per Pet Plus One (depending on the size of the dogs and their training level). This would be discussed during your consultation.
Can we have our dog with us all day?
(incl ceremony and reception)
Our service is tailored to your needs. We aim to meet your requirements and requests, to give you the most pawfect day. That said, your pet is our top priority, their health and welfare is the most important concern. The excitement, noise, and smells can cause some pets to feel overwhelmed and increase their stress and anxiety levels, if exposed to long hours of heightened excitement. Therefore, we recommend no longer than 3 hours. This will give them plenty of time to be involved with you, your guests, the ceremony and all of the photographs.
Do you offer overnight care?
Unfortunately, we do not offer overnight care at present for your dog. However, we are happy to offer late night pet sitting in your home, a family member’s home or wedding accommodation, until someone returns or for as long as your pet needs. Alternatively, we can collect / return your dog to a kennels, overnight sitter or similar.
Do you take the dog(s) back to your own house?
We can care for your pet in your own home, a family member's home or on site at the wedding venue if they have dog friendly rooms or accommodation. We do not care for pets in our own home.
How long can you pet sit for?
This will depend on availability, but it is possible for dogs to stay in our care until midnight.
Where are you based and how far do you cover?
We are based in East Riding of Yorkshire (HU17) and are happy to travel near and far. Mileage outside a 30-mile radius of HU17 is charged at 0.40p a mile.
Are there any dog breeds you won't work with?
We work with most dog breeds except those that are listed as a dangerous breed. We can meet the dog(s) before the event to ensure both parties are happy with the arrangements.
Should we inform our guests and the photographers that a dog will be attending on our day?
We would always advise this in case any of your guests have pet allergies or are nervous of dogs. We also suggest that you speak with your photographer so photos can be coordinated in a way in which prevents any unnecessary stress on your dog(s).
Can we take our dog(s) into a church service?
This depends upon the agreement of each individual church. If the dog can’t enter the church, they may be allowed into the grounds so you can still have them included in your photographs.
Do you offer a grooming service?
Unfortunately we don’t. However, we recommend you have your pet groomed prior to your day. We will be happy to brush and deodorise them on the day, we will also ensure any muddy paws are wiped clean.
What happens if there is poor weather on our wedding day?
Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather but we will do our utmost to keep your dog(s) dry and clean. We cannot guarantee that your dog(s) may not leave a paw print, but we will take steps to minimise the risk.
What happens if there was an emergency?
We will take all relevant emergency contacts with us. This could be a close friend or family member. We also collect the details of your own vet and the nearest vet to the venue. We also take a thorough assessment of your pet incl. their likes and dislikes, any medication, allergies, triggers and behaviours etc.
Are you first aid trained?
Yes, we are first aid trained. In the unlikely event that a dog needs a visit to the vets, we endeavour to use your own. In an emergency, we would call upon the nearest emergency vet.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have full public health liability insurance.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes, we are DBS checked, and have full clearance. This can be seen on request.
